BCS STEAM 2022 has ended
Welcome to BCS STEAM22!
  • To Register and save your spot, fill out your profile information and set up your password on SCHED.
  • Please enter your email carefully as this is how you will receive important information.
  • Select sessions to create your schedule and reserve your seat.
  • Don’t forget to bookmark this site on your computer or device so that you can access your schedule on the day of the event.
  • Attendees will be sent a link to a conference survey at the end of the conference to the email used to register on Sched. Once the survey has been submitted you will receive your certificate of attendance. The conference survey will close 24 hours after the event.
  • The link for BCS employees to register in Frontline/My Learning Plan will also be shared in the survey. BCS employees must register in My Learning Plan to earn CEUs for the day. Frontline/MyLearning Plan registration will close 24 hours after the event. 
  • BCS Certified Staff:  If you do not complete the conference survey and Frontline/MyLearning Plan registration within 24 hours you will not receive CEUs for the conference. Please make sure you complete these by August 12, 2022.
  • ZOOM KNOWN ISSUE:  If you receive an error that your speakers are not recognized do the following:  Go to Zoom.us and select Join a Meeting.  Enter Meeting Code and Password if prompted.

Virtual reality hit a speed bump when Google Expeditions (ahem) retired but also presented an opportunity that became NC VR Adventures. bit.ly/ncvrhome Explore how you & your students can create VR experiences that are innovative, standards-aligned & tell the stories of the rich history, science and culture of our amazing state! Engage with exemplars and reflect on how this instructional strategy empowers learners to create, think critically, and make connections. IMPORTANT: Download and install Google Street View before the session and get ready to create during this fun, interactive session!

- Explore standards-aligned VR experiences.
-Evaluate VR experiences for instructional strategies, SEL opportunities, global connections, digital citizenship and other ISTE standards.
-Connect with each other to share ways to implement VR in your classroom to engage and empower your learners.
- Explore resources to create 360o photospheres for VR projects
Participants will leave with:
-Access to a OER repository of educator and student created VR experiences and lessons and access to digital assets to create your own VR experiences.
